7 July 1902 — 3 Savile Row
Monday. 7th [July 1902]. Blanche came in the morning & carried me off with her to Christie’s to see if any interesting Sale was coming on. A Portrait of Romney’s was sold yesterday for over £4000– We saw nothing much– Connie came to lunch & we talked over my Sale– We had omitted to put my address on the invitations & I had to put it in with the typer. At 3 I went out in a cab to call on Lady Poynter, she being out I walked on to Lowndes Square to call on Lady Albemarle who was at home– She told me her girl Lady Florence Keppel is going to be married to a Mr Boyle. Returned home in a hansom–
