Friday. 18th [July 1902]. I am still selling my surplus stock of pictures for the benefit of the Venice Hospital & have realized more than £215 which is far more than I hoped for. I dined with Elaine Villiers & met Lord Amherst & his daughter also Sir Algernon West who had been private secy to Gladstone. | |
