11 August 1902 — 3 Savile Row
Monday. 11th [August 1902]. I went out after lunch to see Baroness B. Coutts who was at home & had a chat with her. She was kind & affce as she always is—for auld lang syne—& asked me to go & see her again when next I am in town– I then went on to see Miss Hogarth who is not well & was pleased to see me– She is growing old—one of the old friends slipping gradually away! Then I hastened home to tea—in Piccadilly I met Mr Williamson (expriest) of Venice & he went with me to have tea at Savile Row. Mr Griscom also came to call & sat some time with us. I went to see Ivor but found he was not visible having hurt himself by a fall out of bed in his sleep at night.
