Friday. 2nd [January 1903]. Heard that the scheme for having the Seaman’s Hospital in Mrs Browning’s house in S. Polo has been vetoed by the authorities. I am much relieved as I always disliked it. Directly after lunch I went with Mme Wiel to the Italian Hospital & we went our usual round to the children & the surgical ward. | |
