Wednesday. 14th [January 1903]. I was in bed all day having a headache. Elaine Villiers came to see me & Connie. Got up for dinner. Val Prinsep & his 2 boys came and Capt. Wyld & we went to the D. of York’s theatre to see “Admirable Creighton”—an amusing piece—turning on servant’s positions– The noble Lord & his family are wrecked on a desert island from their yacht & being a long time there the daughter falls in love with the butler. When they are rescued the case is altered. The butler marries the maid—the lady marries a Lord! The scenery is pretty– The men act pretty well– | |
