2 February 1903 — 3 Savile Row
Monday. 2nd February [1903]. I went out for a short walk before lunch & looked about for pearls for Count de Franqueville to give Sophy & saw a likely one at Marx in Regent Street. Drove out after lunch & paid Connie a short visit. Blanche came, also in an electric brougham, before I left. Monty came up to my drawing room this morning to tell me that he had been sent for by the Queen on Saty that she might show him her rooms & pretty things & that she sent me a message to say she was sorry she had not remembered that I was here & had not asked him to bring me down with him. Aunt Felicia came & dined with us & we had a pleasant evening.
