15 March 1903 — Inwood, Henstridge, Somerset
Sunday. 15th [March 1903]. Theo did not appear at 9.30 breakfast & Aura had gone to Sunday school so Merthyr & I breakfasted together & then spent the morning chatting till 12 when I went out for a walk in the wood & picked primroses of which there were a few out– It was very nice spring weather & carried me back in thought to many happy springs in the past– Aura & I lunched together– Then I came to my room & wrote letters & then went out with Merthyr to look at the new gates he is putting up in 3 roads to this house. Found Theo up in the sitting room at 5 o’cl tea & sat talking some time. She is much better this evening & came down to dinner after wh we returned to sit upstairs & so to bed at 12.
