30 July 1903 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Thursday. 30th [July 1903]. Sister Clara went over to the Hospital to live there so that at last the Hospital is a fait accompli. She went over & got things straight but returned to dine with me & then slept at the Hospital. The workmen are not yet out of the 1st floor but the Sister’s room & the room for Luigi the servant are usable & so they have settled in. Let us hope that the institution may be of good service & with God’s blessing prosper. It is something to have achieved it at last after so much preparation & work to get money for it.
