| 1 August 1903 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
| Saturday. 1st August [1903]. Trombini came to bid me goodbye & to tell me how pleased he is with an address all his friends have given him on the jubilee of his musical career. Sister Clara came to lunch & we went out afterwards shopping on the Piazza. After tea I took her over to the Hospital wh is now partially ready. It looked rather forlorn & Sister’s rooms very empty but she seems contented. I left her there & came home to dinner. Afterwards I took a row in gondola for an hour it was delightfully cool & no dew. | |
