16 October 1903 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 16th [October 1903]. Mr Hitchens came in the morning to bid us good bye & has gone off to England. Took Violet to the Eden’s garden in afternoon & I went in to the hospital. Nela Du Cane & Verona Brooke arrived from London to stay with me by 11.30 train. I was in my bed when they came & welcomed them from there. | |
