27 July 1904 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Wednesday. [27th July 1904]. Malagola & Clara Montalba both came in to bid me good bye. Mr Kennedy & I left by 2.10 train for Belluno which place we reached at 5 & went to the Hotel des Alpes. There was a thunderstorm going on as we got here & it was even so much cooler & it rained a good deal in the night. There was about 20º difference in the atmosphere from Venice.
