Saturday. 27th [August 1904]. Unpacked & arranged the house. The new cook came. After tea I took a walk & crossed in the ferry steamer to the Giudecca & paid a visit to the Hospital. Found all satisfactory. Weather settled, cool but fine—splendid moon. | |
