7 September 1904 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Wednesday. 7th [September 1904]. In the course of the morning Mr Musgrave came up to the Library & sat talking with me in the studio. After lunch I took him out in gondola to show him Venice, this being his first visit & to give him an idea of the chief beauties of the place. We came in to tea & then went out again to antiquity shops which is one of his great amusements. After dinner took him out for a float. The night was warm but damp.
