3 October 1904 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Monday. 3rd [October 1904]. Pasquale in high fever– Dr says it is a febbre infettivo. Count Seckendorff was out all day & we did not meet till dinner time. Weather rainy & dull. The Bishop & Mrs Talbot came in the morning to look at the pictures. At 4 I went out in gondola & called on the Harstons & on to tea with the Curtis. Many people there those who have been much at my house– I finished painting the fan on silk I was doing for Iduna Belmondo.
