22 January 1905 — Maiden Bradley House, Maiden Bradley, Wiltshire
Sunday. 22nd [January 1905]. Went to morning service in the nice little church adjoining the gardens. It being the anniversary of the King’s accession there was a very fitting sermon preached by the Rector and at the end of the service we sang “God save the King” which to me is always very moving when sung heartily by many voices. In the afternoon we took a walk. It was bitterly cold & snow lying still on the ground & very slippery.
