21 June 1905 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Wednesday. 21st June [1905]. Finished typing the journal. I am sorry. Hilda Montalba came to 5 o’cl tea and I took her home afterwards & went on to the Hospital & thence into the Eden’s garden & talked over with Mr Eden the purchase of the present house of the Hospital which I am presenting to the Venice Community of Miss Holland. Agreed to return tomorrow with the architect to hear his opinion on the price asked £850 in all. After dinner I went with Baker to the Sailor’s Institute it being Concert night. Found few men & indifferent singing so I remained a short time only. Today is the first hot day we have had.
