Wednesday. 12th [July 1905]. Mattei brought me more papers to sign abt the additions to the hospital. Painted– Went to Lido soon after 5 with Bss Reinelt—in gondola to Calle Valaressa & thence in steamer. Met the Canevaros giving a dinner party. The Baroness had Mme Blaas, her husband & son– It was a hot evening—a good many people dining at Lido & met there Pss Arduino Buoncompagni whom I had known at Rome. She is staying at the hotel des Bains with her family for the baths. We got back about 11– | |
