16 July 1905 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Sunday. 16th [July 1905]. I went to morning service at 10.30. About 50 people in church—seemed mostly Americans. Met Ola there & she returned with me to lunch and accompanied me to the station to see me off by the 2 o’cl train for Paris & London. Sra Malagola & Mr Woods came to the station also. It was a very hot day. I got to Milan 20 minutes behind time so had only time to get a hasty dinner. Cavaliere S. Arbib who happened to be there met me; had ordered my dinner & sat with me while I bolted it. At Turin wh we reached about 11 P.M. I went into the sleeping car & passed a comfortable night.
