31 July 1905 — Peterborough Minster Precincts, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Monday. 31st [July 1905]. I left Peterboro’ after lunch & took the train for Harrowgate where I arrived about 6. Went to the Granby Hotel where I found Ivor at home; Cornelia & Nela Du Cane were out for a drive in the motor. Ivor gave me tea & then we went out together for a stroll. Harrowgate is a lovely place, that as the country is open & undulating & the air fine. The Granby is on the stray a great open green prettily flanked with trees. Cornelia is taking the waters & the good air is supposed to strengthen Ivor & then also benefit his sight.
