9 August 1905 — 3 Savile Row | |
Wednesday. 9th [August 1905]. Mrs Silver came to see me at 11. My brother Monty also looked in. He goes up to Scotland tonight for grouse shooting. Mary Alderson came & Nellie joined us later for luncheon. I went off at 2.30 in a hansom to the Colonial Institute to see Miss Dalrymple Hay, & tell her all about the Hospital work at . Found the head of the Committee Mrs also there & sat sometime talking with her– Went on to 8 Onslow Gardens to see Connie & found Bee with her. Had tea with them & then went home. Joined them again at Connie’s Club the Lyceum 125 Piccadilly—where we had a very decent dinner at 2/6 a head– Then went to Savile Row for a time finding Nellie there—Mary having returned to Peterboro’– Connie & Bee left early as did Nellie. | |
