11 August 1905 — Foliejon Park, Winkfield, Berkshire | |
Friday. 11th [August 1905]. Breakfast at 9 & the Pembers left directly after it. Mrs Whitaker persuaded me to try to model with some new plasticine she has got—something like wax. In the meanwhile she began my portrait in pastel. After lunch she took me a lovely drive round by the Forest & to Windsor– Beautiful views in all directions & fine trees—reminding one of Shakespeare’s plays. | |
