3 September 1905 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 3rd [September 1905]. My guests were tired & I let them sleep & had breakfast in the room & went off to church at 10.15. On my return I saw them. They went out to see the town & returned to lunch at 1.30 after which I took them to see the Eden’s garden. Ola joined us there & we sat talking by the lagoon & then we visited the hospital & went on to the Piazza & had coffee there at Quadris. Mr Pen Browning dined with us & we all went to walk in the Piazza & hear the band. Vere met & spoke to Lady Charles Beresford who is here in the “Surprise.” | |
