11 September 1905 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 11th [September 1905]. Hard morning’s work writing letters– Went out after tea to Rietti’s on an errand. Lady Helen who lives in the floor above sent down to say she wanted to see me so I went up & found that Mr Maguire was worse and wanted a nurse to go home with them tomorrow. I telephoned to Ola who said he can have one– After dinner Ola & Sister Rome joined me & I took them back to the Hosp: in gondola. A splendid moonlit night. At 7 Sister White came from the Hospital to try if massage would get the rheumatism out of my hands. | |
