9 October 1905 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Monday. 9th [October 1905]. The Ingeniere & Trombini both called in the morng & took up much of my time. I went to the Hospital after lunch & called for Ola & went to call on Lady Louisa Fielding who is with her daughters in a horrid little apartment at the top of a Palazzo Foscanini at Carninio. It is odd what holes & corners English people manage to find for themselves! There is every so many steps up at the top of a house. Signor Malagola brought Count Malvizzi of Bologna to dine with me. He is a deputy & a learned man & very agreeable. Css Olga Mocenigo also dined with us. Bee dined with Mrs Craigie at the Hotel.
