7 November 1905 — En route to India
Tuesday. 7th [November 1905]. Today passed quietly. The only diversion being that large official looking papers were distributed to each passenger to sign—being a declaration for the customs at Bombay of the contents of their baggage. I paid a short visit to Mrs Preston– In the evening there was a concert among the passengers of wh I heard nothing as I sat talking to Judge Harrington & I gradually told him many reminiscences of my life in Spain till when it got bed time I found I had spun quite a yarn & I lay awake some time thinking of old days.
