8 April 1906 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Sunday. 8th [April 1906]. Went to morning service. It was warmer & lovely sunshine. Had Mr Torfen & Mlle de Brillé to lunch, children of the Danish Minister in London—friends of Connie. Thought him rather a prig. She—pleasant to look at & to talk to. Went to see Angela Reinelt & sat an hour with her– Home to tea & then to evening service. Went in gondola & walked home after having had a talk with Canon Ragg & told him abt Sister B. A quiet evening—read Marco Polo’s travels—& played patience.
