2 May 1906 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Wednesday. 2nd [May 1906]. I got up to 8.30 breakfast with the boys & saw them off on their morning’s excursion– Two of the party returned to their ship & 3 more came. After lunch I took Capt Kerr out shopping at the Piazza to Missiaglia’s to have the engagement ring mounted that he wants to present his fiancée, Miss Rose Gough, with. I then dropped him at the Curtis where he was engaged for tea & I went on to see Iduna Bel: & then hurried home to rest—not being yet a bit strong. Tonight we mustered a party of ten as the number of the Capt.’s boys has run up to 8.
