5 May 1906 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 5th [May 1906]. We could not go to Countess Morosini as we remembered we were previously engaged to go to call on the Montalbas & to take tea with the Edens at their garden– Most of our “boys” went there. Prince Alexander came to dinner & Miss Kerr—by some tiresome chance we were 13 to dinner as Countess Brandolin was also dining & I knew that all Italians are superstitious I had to arrange a 2nd table added to the usual dinner table at wh Miss Kerr & one of the boys sat. This caused also much amusement. | |
