11 July 1906 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Wednesday. 11th [July 1906]. Continued work of typing Henry’s letters to Sir Wm Gregory. Began to think of modelling again & brought out the little statuette I began the year before last to try & finish it—the fisher boy. In the afternoon I went over to the Giudecca to have a talk with Mr Eden over the Hospital building plans—which are still in suspense. Met there Pss Borghese née Apponyi—always bright & pleasant. At 9 o’clock General de Horsey called for me & we went for an airing, the dear old gentleman enjoying a chat & being full of old reminiscences. Malagola left Venice on his holiday.
