Sunday. 22nd [July 1906]. To morning service conducted by Revd Jefferson who has taken Canon Ragg’s place during his absence. He preached well—but looked very ill. He has a church at Florence. Mr Cheetham came to lunch with me at 12. Lord L. left Venice this morng & Mr C. leaves this eveng. Went to afternoon service at 5.30 & meeting Sister Collins there coming away, I conveyed her home to the Hospital. Found Css Chludzinska out of bed & nearly well. Dined at 7.30 & sent the gondola after to the Hospital to take out the nurses. | |
