23 July 1906 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 23rd [July 1906]. I went out in afternoon to the Eden’s garden to sit with them on the terrace over the lagoons for the last time this summer as they are going off to Salce tomorrow morng by 4.45 A.M. train. I met the old Generale (de Horsey) there & we arranged to go for a float together in the evening wh we did. He fetched me at 9 in his gondola & I lent mine to the Hospital folk to go out in. | |
