12 November 1906 — Stupinigi Palace, Turin
Monday. 12th [November 1906]. Lunch as usual at 12 after wh we sat talking in the long gallery & the Queen asked me to teach her to make Venetian bead chains with wire like rosaries. So I gave her a lesson & she quickly took to it & was highly delighted. She made Mimi Peo fetch out a box full of beads wh remained over from the threaded chains I had taught her to make when last I was here 3 years ago. Genl & Mme del Mayno left here today & Senatore Colombo came to take his place. We went for a walk in the Park with Her Majesty. It is foggy & rather unpleasant weather but not very cold. Tea at 5.30—dinner at 8 after wh we made chains again.
