1 January 1907 — Bessborough, Fiddown, County Kilkenny | |
Tuesday. 1st January [1907]. The thaw has continued & the county is green once more—but it rained. Blanche & Gweneth returned before luncheon from Mount Juliet having enjoyed themselves. The 2 sons had remained for another night. It began to blow hard in the afternoon & cleared a bit whereat Blanche, Edward, Arthur DC. & I sallied forth for a walk to the village. It rained a good deal but was far warmer than the last few days. | |
