2 January 1907 — Bessborough, Fiddown, County Kilkenny
Wednesday. 2nd [January 1907]. At breakfast there was a thick snow storm which was soon followed by brilliant sunshine. Edward & Arthur went out shooting & had good sport. I took a walk with Blanche in the afternoon. We paid diverse visits to old women in the village & carried them puddings & garments. Came in at 5. Wrote letters. Myles & Bertie returned home after hunting & Myles left for England after dinner by the night train. Myles had to return to his waiting on the Duke of Connaught. I had a telegram from Pss Stephanie Lonyay for the New Year.
