8 July 1907 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 8th July [1907]. I went off before 8 with Baker in gondola to take my hot sea bath at the Lido. On my return rested & then modelled & began a little figure of an angel kneeling. Had a note from Marchesa de Villamarina saying the Queen desired me to go to lunch on Wedy at 12. Angela called for me after 6 for a row in gondola but it began to rain so we had to take refuge in Hotel Britannia where we paid a visit to old Baroness Ritter of Trieste & came home earlier than usual. | |
