1 February 1908 — 3 Savile Row
Saturday. 1st February [1908]. Susan Somerset came in to see me in the morning & we arranged to have a Charity sale in her house 2nd week in March—the profits to be divided between a London charity & the Venice Hospital. She brought me a bouquet of tulips & lilies of the valley. Blanche came afterwards & we sat talking till Edward fetched her to go home to lunch. They were going afterwards to lay the foundation stone of some new Church schools. Nellie & Charlie went to spend the day at the Tile Hse & returned for dinner. After lunch I drove down to 8 Onslow Gardens to see Connie & arranged her collection of beads of wh I brought a lot home to use up. She helps me to make bead chains & had accumulated a lot of beads. I got home at 5.15 & Blanche came & had tea with me & told me all had gone off well & Edward had made a good speech.
