10 March 1908 — 3 Savile Row
Tuesday. 10th [March 1908]. We all breakfasted downstairs at 9 o’cl & at 11 Nellie, Baker & I went off to 35 Gros: Sqr to arrange our goods for the afternoon’s Sale returning to lunch at 1. Miss Hallé came to lunch & Eda arrived to stay with me. Directly after lunch we all went off to the sale which was very successful & at one time was quite crowded. All my friends rallied round me & when we returned home & counted up our gains we found we alone had taken £50 & that at the door £15 had been taken in 2/6 entry tickets. I had also had several cheques of over £50 sent direct to me. We got home soon after 6 & I went at once to lie on my bed till dinner time as I was very tired. After dinner we all set to work to make more bead twists for tomorrows sale—but I think all my friends were there today. I dont believe we shall do much tomorrow.
