29 June 1908 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Monday. 29th [June 1908]. I walked with Ivor up to the accacia garden in the morng but he was still a good deal confused. After tea Oscar proposed taking a walk up to the keeper’s lodge that he might see about his dogs so off we went returning home abt 7 when Nela arrived from town. I had not seen her since we parted at Columbo, I to come back to Europe & she to go on to Australia, whence she only returned early this April. She is still very pretty & picturesque—but her hair is almost quite white in the front. She sleeps in the room next to me & we had long talks. | |
