4 July 1908 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Saturday. 4th [July 1908]. It was decided that the Frenchman is not the man for the job & he is to return to France. I took a walk with Ivor before lunch & he was a good deal clearer. The great heat has abated but in the evening he was not so clear– I read the Psalms to him but he stood all the time & seemed in a hurry. Found it rather chilly out in the evening—but the aurora lights were bright. | |
