29 August 1908 — Castel Savoia, Gressoney St. Jean
Saturday. 29th [August 1908]. A quiet day when we rested & took a short walk in the evening after tea as far as Gressoney St Jean where the Q. went in to a small shop on purpose to buy for me a collection of Post cards of the different views of the valley & she gave me abt 40 very pretty ones including one of herself in the costume of the country. This morning she & the whole household went off to mass in the motors being the day of the month of the assassination of King Humbert. It appears that she does this on 29th of every month.
