7 October 1908 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 7th [October 1908]. Clara Montalba came to see me in the morng & remained to lunch with me. At 3 went to fetch Mrs Wilkinson & her daughter, a nice American lady whom I had met in London & are now staying a short time in Venice, & I took them over to the Hospital to see it. Mr Montalba met us there & returned to Venice with us. On leaving the Wilkinsons I went to the Piazza & from thence walked home round by Rialto accompanied by Montalba. Dined early & went to the concert at the Sailor’s Institute. | |
