13 October 1908 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 13th [October 1908]. I accompanied my guests to the Academy in the morning where Malagola & the Director met us. After lunch we went off in our 2 gondolas to Murano to see the glass blown & also to see the G. Bellini pictures in the church & on to the Cathedral. Olga Mocenigo & the Prefect Count Nasalli Rocca dined. I had invited the Adl (Viotti) & the Sindaco (Grimani) but they excused themselves. After dinner there was a gathering of most of the English colony as are here & some tourists but all was over about 11– Genl Hamilton arrived to stay with us. | |
