14 October 1908 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 14th [October 1908]. I accompanied the Connaughts in the morning to the Ch. of the Miracoli with which they were enchanted—also to San Giorgio Schiavoni & to the Piazza—from there we walked to S. Zuccheria & then home to lunch quite exhausted. When refreshed we set off again to antiquity shops & the Connaughts concluded their bargains with Piccoli & Della Torre– Sr Malagola Mr Brown dined—some of the party went out in the even. It was fine moonlight & still warm weather. | |
