16 March 1909 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Tuesday. 16th [March 1909]. Ola better & up. Sra Malagola came & gave us a lesson in lace making in the morning. I & Ola went out after lunch but it was so cold that I came home—dressed & at 5 went to a party given by Ma Sacripante. There I found all the Venetian society—dancing, music & feasting. A boy of 12 called Crepax played the violin & promises well. He is brother to the young ’cellist who has played at my trios. This evening my at home—several Venetians came Css Valmarana, Srè Notabartolo, Dal Sacco, Balbi Valier &c &c.
