19 April 1909 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Monday. 19th [April 1909]. There was a vestry meeting at the church at 12 to wh I went. Canon Ragg made a kind of farewell speech to us as he is leaving the chaplaincy this spring. I had a hard day trying to make arrangements for the concert in aid of the hospital & Institute & after lunch went with Mr Byard to [illegible word] the music shop to make arrangements for it—printing tickets &c &c. Then met Ola & Oscar Guest on the Piazza & had tea at Florians. Ran in to see Mrs Hellman at her house at San Samuele & came home quite tired after 6 to rest. I was routed out by Mr Byard & Prof. Trombini to talk more “concert.” After dinner Countess Albrizzi came also to talk of it as she consents to be a patroness.
