26 July 1909 — En route to London | |
Monday. 26th [July 1909]. We had a very good crossing from Ostend to Dover & reached London soon after 5 p.m. Connie was met at Charing Cross by her daughter Evely & I went off to Savile Row in Blanche’s electric brougham wh she kindly sent for me. I found Nellie & C. Wyld staying at my house. Dined at 17 Cavendish Square. Myles Ponsonby came to see me as soon as I arrived—all welcomed me most kindly—but declared I looked very starved & pulled down for my “cure”– | |
