29 July 1909 — 3 Savile Row
Thursday. 29th [July 1909]. I went out shopping in the morning with Baker. Mary Alderson came to stay a night. Mr Duncan (Charlie Wyld’s friend) dined with us & took us to the theatre to see a foolish piece called “the Arcadians—half musical—pretty scenery. Today at tea time, Blanche came to see me, also Connie, Violet Vivian & to my surprise & pleasure Mr Robert Kennedy walked in. I did not know he was back from Buenos Aires where he is minister. He is just home on leave & found out by accident I was here. He is a faithful friend & seeing him brings back many old memories of Madrid & Constantinople.
