11 August 1909 — Bessborough, Fiddown, County Kilkenny
Wednesday. 11th [August 1909]. Aunt Felicia (Bss of Lindsey) arrived to stay. She crossed from England yesterday but made a mistake & got out of the train to Fiddown at Waterford & so had to spend the night there at a bad inn. We chaffed her much & she good naturedly bore with us—reminding us of the days of our youth—for she tho’ our Aunt is of our elder sister’s age & is more like a sister. She still plays the piano with a delightful touch & often by heart.
