27 September 1909 — Salce, Belluno | |
Monday. 27th [September 1909]. I left by the 9.50 train from Belluno for Venice. Carry accompanied me to the station wh was full of recruits & their friends who came to see them off & to cheer them. I had a compartment to myself till I got to Treviso when we had to change into another slow train which stopped at every station & only arrived at Venice at 5.30. Glad to be at home again & to settle down & be quiet. | |
