7 November 1909 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 7th [November 1909]. We none of us went to church as Dr Vitali came abt 11. He found Hallam very weak & ordered him to keep his bed. Miss Chaffey came over also to meet Vitali. Alice being anxious to have a nurse Chaffey sent for nurse Christie to come here tomorrow. She is now with the Tracy girls who are both getting thro’ an attack of typhoid. I went to afternoon service at 3.30 & then to see Mrs Curtis; found her & Lady Barlow who is leaving Venice tomorrow. I took her in gondola to San Moisé & then returned home. | |
